Chevron fuel stations sold for $12m

Two Chevron Australia fuel stations have sold to investors for a combined $12 million in recent months. 

RP Data shows that Dayton 8 Pty Ltd purchased a Caltex service station from Lord Street (WA) at 151 Isoodon Street in Dayton for $5.74 million.

Australian Securities and Investments Commission documents show that Dayton 8 is owned by Daniel and Maria Gonzalez, of Doubleview. 

Mr Gonzalez appears to be a director at real estate company Realty Lane. 

ASIC further shows that Urban WA Real Estate director Stan Horsman and Hatfield Group managing director James Gallucio are the directors and shareholders of Lord Street (WA). 

Colliers executive investment services Aidan Austen and state chief executive WA Richard Cash brokered the deal. 

Additionally, the pair brokered the sales of the Hungry Jack’s, Chicken Treat and Stride Early Learning & Childcare in Dayton, for a combined $11.41 million. 

These transactions followed the $6.36 million divestment of Caltex in Bentley to Indonesian investors. 

An entity controlled by MJA Studio directors Jimmy Thompson and Wes Barrett recently sold the 1/1163 Albany Highway asset to Lotus Padma Pty Ltd. 

Lotus Padma is owned by Maureen and Andrew Krisnadharma, who were both born in Indonesia but live in Victoria, as well as William Guo. 

Sterling Property senior partner Jack Bradshaw and managing director Brian Neo brokered that deal. 

“Fuel investments leased to Chevron Australia are rarely offered to the open market,” Mr Bradshaw said. 

“The near-new facility and strategic location drove significant competition throughout the campaign.” 

Mr Austen, of Colliers said the Dayton sales reflected the high demand for daily-needs assets with secure lease covenants in Perth’s expanding metropolitan corridors.

“Private investors and passive capital groups remain highly active across the QSR, fuel and childcare sectors, with buyers attracted to the security, simplicity and long-term rental growth these assets provide,” he said. 

Chevron Australia operates the Caltex brand.
